Burks UMC is delighted to announce the addition to our ministry staff of our

full time Director of Youth Ministry, Casandra L. Karl!

. Casandra previously served in a bountiful ministry to children and youth at Nashville United Methodist Church in Nashville, Indiana. Casandra’s husband, Brad, moved their family here for employment with Yanfeng, formerly Johnson Controls. They live in the Harrison area with their children, Maya (13), Archer (10), and Hayden, who officially answers to

Pancho (5). Casandra holds a BA in Archaeology and Classical Studies from the University of Wisconsin, and has worked in both church settings and as interpretation and management in museums. She brings her background specialty of Anthropology and Classical Latin into her teaching of the Bible and the history that is relevant to its content. Casandra will be hands on with youth; developing a biweekly program, regular mission efforts, delivering sound Biblical teaching, interface with the church, and much more, including just plain fun.
