is a service available to friends of Burks UMC through the secure online giving service utilized here. Use this option for special one time gifts
A secure online profile must be established to utilize this convenient tool. Go to the MY GIFTS page to securely register for online giving.
Text giving allows you to make a one time gift, at the time of the text, for on- the-spot giving opportunities that may arise during worship or events. For example, a missioner comes to share their ministry, and you feel led to help support their efforts. You would like to donate to benefit that cause. Perhaps you want to give to help those affected by the Wildfires. You can give one time or several, but designate it to a particular cause by using the handy Text Giving Option.
Text giving is easy, safe, secure. It is protected by the same security system that provides our online giving option here at Burks UMC.
How to Text Donate
1. If you already have an online giving profile set up, open it from the Donate Now Button.

4. When the opportunity arises during a worship experience or event to take your phone out and make a gift, for instance, to UMCOR, YOU are ready!!
Here are some scriptures from some members and friends of Burks UMC that really touch our hearts when we think of giving back to the Lord out of our love for God and for God’s creation!
John 8:12 Jesus spoke to the people again. He said, ” I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.”
II Corinthians 9:7-10 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You shouldn’t give if you dont’ want to. You shouldn’t give because you are forced to. God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to shower all kinds of blessings on you. So in all things and at all times you will have everything you need. You will do more and more good works. It is written, “They have spread their gifts around to those who are in need. Their good works continue forever. ” (Psalm 112:9). God supplies seed for the person who plants. He supplies bread for food. God will also supply and increase the amount of your seed. He will increase the results of your good work.
