Burks United Methodist Academy

Our purpose is to provide, within a Christian atmosphere opportunities which meet the educational needs of the early childhood years and emphasize growth in all areas—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.  Through a warm, accepting climate and a rich program, we hope to give your child a natural step from home to school.  Since play is the language of children and the foundation of a good preschool, we recognize its value for the young child.  Our classes include a balance of guided play, conversation, story times, dramatic play, and group activities.

Christine Celis of Pure Genius in Ringgold, GA  comes to Burks CDC each Thursday, to share a lesson with our children in one of the areas of STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. Each classroom spends 30 minutes with Ms. Christine experiencing many types of fun and exciting activities! We hope that these sometimes messy and always interactive science and math based experiences will help your child to be more curious about the world God has created!
